Most podcast brands stop at a circle and a tile. The Enthusiasts wanted something heavier — a brand that looked the way the conversations sound. Slow. Deliberate. A little smoky. Built for people who go deep on the things they care about, not the people who want a clip.

§ 01 — The Thesis

A podcast that behaves like a print magazine.

Long-form, photographed properly, packaged with intent. Not a YouTube show with a logo — an editorial object you'd pick up in a barbershop, a bar, a record store. The whole brand is built on that premise.

§ 02 — The Mark

One mark. Two registers.

Hand-drawn psychedelic artwork as the artefact — pressed onto a circular badge that reads as a record-shop pin, a cigar tin, a beer mat. The wordmark sits inside it, not on top of it. Joy and rigour, in the same gesture.

Drawn, not generated.

Every line in the artwork is hand-drawn — no plug-ins, no pattern fills. That texture is what stops the mark feeling like another podcast tile and lets it sit alongside enamel pins, rolled-up posters, screen-print on a tote. Things people actually keep.

The wordmark — "the Enthusiasts podcast" — is set in a clean weight on top, deliberately quiet against the noise of the artwork. Tension between the two halves is the whole identity.

§ 03 — Photography

The photography does the talking.

Two registers, shot in parallel: documentary black & white for the editorial — portraits, environments, the texture of the everyday — and warmer, on-the-road colour for the social-facing material. Same eye, different lens.

§ 04 — In Production

End to end. Frame to feed.

We don't hand off a logo and walk. Direction, set photography, episode artwork, the cuts that go out — every output goes through the same studio so the visual register doesn't drift between rooms.

One studio, one register.

Most brands fall apart at the edges. The logo is fine, the website is fine, then a junior editor in a different timezone exports a Reel with the wrong typeface and the whole illusion goes. We removed that handover.

The cut you see on the feed was edited in the same room as the brand was drawn — same crops, same stills selection, same titling system. The brand is the work, not a layer on top of it.
